Rick Angell is a shareholder in the Environmental, Energy & Natural Resources department where he advises and represents clients on a variety of litigation and compliance issues. His practice includes: representation of clients in judicial and administrative environmental enforcement proceedings, remediation and cost recovery under CERCLA and other statutes, voluntary cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated property, underground storage tank cleanup and cost recovery, toxic tort litigation, environmental due diligence and sustainable business practices, including climate change issues. He also comments on behalf of clients on environmental and occupational health rules and advises clients on Clean Air Act and RCRA regulatory obligations and reporting/permitting requirements. Rick graduated from George Washington University Law School (J.D., 1996). Prior to law school he attended Cornell University (B.A., 1993) where he received dual degrees in government and biology. Rick clerked with the Environmental Enforcement section at the U.S. Department of Justice during law school and has worked in various other positions in the environmental field in both research and enforcement roles.
